Basic Principles of Siddha
According to the Siddha medical tradition, the normal functions of the human body are governed by the balance of three fundamental physiological humors: Vadham (Air/Ether), Pittham (Fire), and Kabham (Earth/Water). Diet, lifestyle, and traditional medicine methods are used to support this balance.
Traditional Knowledge of Siddhars
The Tamil Siddhars developed various medical texts and formulation systems based on their profound scientific studies of nature, herbs, and human physiology. That traditional knowledge remains the main foundation of Siddha medicine to this day.
